This Privacy Policy explains how KnitPlan processes information when you use the KnitPlan website and mobile application. KnitPlan is operated by Tatiana Subbotina.
1. Information we process
In the mobile app, knitting projects, measurements, calculations, counters and preferences are stored locally on your device. On the website, registered users may provide an email address, password and display name. If you place an order, we process the contact details and message you provide so we can respond. Premium purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store; we do not receive or store payment card details.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses essential cookies for authentication and may use Google Analytics cookies for usage statistics. Advertising services may use cookies or mobile advertising identifiers according to your consent and device settings.
3. Third-party services
KnitPlan uses Google Analytics 4 for website statistics, Google AdSense for website ads, Google AdMob for mobile app ads, Google Play Billing and App Store in-app purchases for subscriptions and one-time Premium purchases, and DeepL for website content translation. We do not intentionally send personal data to DeepL for translation.
4. Advertising and consent
The mobile app may show ads through Google AdMob and the website may show ads through Google AdSense. Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and technical information.
Where required by law, we ask for consent before showing personalized ads or using advertising identifiers. You can change or withdraw consent through the consent form in the app or site where available, and through your device advertising settings. We do not sell your personal data. Some US privacy laws may treat personalized advertising as sharing personal information for advertising purposes; where applicable, you can opt out through the privacy message, consent form or device settings.

5. Storage and security
Website account and order data is stored on a secure server in the European Union (OVH, France). App project data is stored on your device unless you choose to share it yourself. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us by email.
7. Children's privacy
KnitPlan is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new update date.
